近日，长沙康礼全球升学导航系列讲座首场《香港——国际教育枢纽的招生趋势及申请路径》顺利举行。讲座围绕香港留学的优势、最新趋势及具体申请策略进行了系统分享，助力学生与家长更全面地了解港校升学的路径与机会。

Recently,the first lecture of the CCSC Global University Admission Guidance Series,titled"Hong Kong-Trends in Admissions and Application Paths for an International Education Hub,"was successfully held.The lecture systematically shared the advantages of studying in Hong Kong,the latest trends,and specific application strategies,helping students and parents gain a more comprehensive understanding of the paths and opportunities for admission to Hong Kong universities.

申请量爆发式增长：从近年各香港高校趋势图可以看出，香港高校的国际吸引力显著提升，非本地生申请人数屡创新高。2025年，香港大学非本地生申请量达2.5万份，其中内地生占2.1万份，同比增长20%。其他顶尖院校如香港科技大学、理工大学的申请量也突破历史纪录。

Explosive growth in application volume:As shown in the trend charts of various Hong Kong universities in recent years,the international appeal of Hong Kong universities has significantly increased,with the number of non-local student applications reaching new highs.In 2025,the University of Hong Kong received 25,000 applications from non-local students,of which 21,000 were from mainland students,a year-on-year increase of 20%.The application volumes of other top universities such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University also broke historical records.

Outstanding academic strength:The five major universities in Hong Kong have consistently ranked among the top 60 in the QS World University Rankings,with multiple disciplines ranking among the top three in Asia.Some programs also have cooperative projects with international top universities such as Harvard and MIT.

Rich employment resources:Thanks to the"High-End Talent Pass Program,"non-local graduates can stay in Hong Kong for two years without conditions.As an international financial center,Hong Kong has seen significant growth in job opportunities in fields such as fintech and ESG in recent years.The Greater Bay Area also provides a wide range of employment channels for graduates of Hong Kong universities.

Comparison of Different Academic Systems

这些国际课程体系（IB、A-Level、AP和香港DSE等）和高考均可用于申请香港高校。其中，AP/A-Level课程的优势在于选课自由度高，学生可根据兴趣和专业方向自由组合课程，无需遵循固定框架。仅需深耕几门科目，可规避弱势学科。契合香港高校“重单科深度”偏好，A-Level每年2-3次考试机会可重考刷分，部分港校（如港科技、港城大）允许3分及以上AP成绩兑换学分（如微积分BC 5分可兑大一数学学分），能缩短本科学习时长、减轻学业压力。目前，AP/A-Level课程为我校主力课程。

These international curricula(such as IB,A-Level,AP,and Hong Kong DSE,etc.)and the National College Entrance Examination can all be used to apply to Hong Kong universities.Among them,the advantages of the AP/A-Level courses,which are the main focus of our school as mentioned by Ms.Zhao in this Hong Kong special lecture,lie in the high degree of freedom in course selection.Students can freely combine courses based on their interests and professional directions without following a fixed framework.They only need to focus on a few subjects,which can avoid weak subjects.This aligns with the preference of Hong Kong universities for"depth in individual subjects".A-Level offers 2-3 examination opportunities each year,allowing for retakes to improve scores.Some Hong Kong universities(such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and City University of Hong Kong)allow AP scores of 3 or above to be converted into credits(for example,a score of 5 in Calculus BC can be converted into a credit for first-year mathematics),which can shorten the duration of undergraduate studies and reduce academic pressure.

相比之下，高考的考试风险高，一考定终身：仅有一次考试机会，压力大，容错率低，某一科发挥失常可能严重影响整体成绩。IB课程结构更为复杂，学术难度课业负担重和评估强度较大；香港DSE课程则更适合本地学生和追求均衡发展的学生，英语科目门槛较高，考试采用4+2模式，选课自由度相对较低。

In contrast,the college entrance examination in China is highly risky,with one exam determining one's entire future:there is only one chance to take the exam,the pressure is huge,and the margin for error is low.A poor performance in one subject may significantly affect the overall score.The IB curriculum is more complex,with heavy academic difficulty,a heavy workload,and a high assessment intensity.The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education(DSE)curriculum is more suitable for local students and those who pursue balanced development.The English subject has a relatively high threshold,and the exam adopts a 4+2 model.The freedom of course selection is relatively low.

Currently,the mainstream application paths include the National College Entrance Examination system and the international curriculum system.Many students at CCSC who applied through international curricula such as AP and A-Level have successfully gained admissions,including full scholarships,with their outstanding academic achievements and comprehensive background enhancements.Students of the 2025 at CCSC have received multiple admission offers from top universities in Hong Kong and around the world.They have collectively received 15 admission letters from the top five universities in Hong Kong(The University of Hong Kong,The Chinese University of Hong Kong,The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,The Hong Kong Polytechnic University,and City University of Hong Kong),with a total scholarship amount of 1.19 million Hong Kong dollars.Some students have even received two admission offers from The University of Hong Kong and won full scholarships.The admitted majors cover various fields such as business and management,data science,and computer engineering,which are ranked among the top in Asia in the QS subject rankings.
