On September 3,2025,China observes the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War,a day of solemn remembrance and reflection.Across the nation,commemorations and comparative military parades mark not only China’s sacrifice but also its enduring partnerships forged in one of humanity’s darkest hours.

During the war of resistance against Japanese aggression,China did not stand alone.Friends from around the world came forward in acts of courage and solidarity:

诺尔曼·白求恩医生（加拿大）——这位先锋战地外科医生将现代医疗技术带到中国，在战火中培养无数医护工作者。他的无私与牺牲使其成为代代传颂的英雄。

Dr. Norman Bethune (Canada) — A pioneering battlefield surgeon who brought modern medical techniques to China and trained countless doctors in the midst of war. His selflessness and ultimate sacrifice made him a hero remembered by generations.

飞虎队（美国）——当陆路运输线被切断时，这些美国志愿航空队飞行员勇闯喜马拉雅"驼峰航线"，为中国维持物资供给，诠释了联盟的力量。

The Flying Tigers(USA)—American Volunteer Group pilots who braved“The Hump”air route over the Himalayas to keep China supplied when land routes were cut off,embodying the strength of alliance.

路易·艾黎（新西兰）——发起"工合运动"，动员中国工人在山洞与山区建设隐蔽的合作工厂，维系战时供应链。

Rewi Alley(New Zealand)—Founder of the Gung Ho movement,who mobilized Chinese workers to build cooperative factories hidden in caves and mountains,keeping supply chains alive.

乔治·何克（英国）——从记者转型为人道主义者，带领60名中国孤儿完成传奇般的千里大迁徙，后在山丹创办学校，在战火中延续希望之火。

George Hogg(UK)—A journalist-turned-humanitarian who led 60 Chinese orphans on a legendary 1,000-km journey to safety,later founding a school in Shandan that carried forward hope in wartime China.

李约瑟（英国）——这位剑桥科学家于1943-46年间穿越战时的中国，建立中英科学合作馆。其后出版的八卷本巨著《中国科学技术史》向世界展现中华科技文明瑰宝，搭建起延续至今的知识桥梁。

Joseph Needham(UK)—A Cambridge scientist who traveled across wartime China(1943–46),establishing the Sino-British Science Cooperation Office.His subsequent eight-volume masterpiece Science and Civilisation in China revealed China’s rich scientific heritage to the world and built intellectual bridges that endure to this day.

埃德加·斯诺（美国）——从冒险记者到真理信使，穿越封锁揭开红色中国的面纱，以《西行漫记》为烽火岁月点亮一盏不灭的灯。

Edgar Snow(USA)—From an adventurous journalist to a messenger of truth,he pierced through blockades to unveil the veil of Red China,illuminating the war-torn years with"Red Star Over China"as an undying lamp.

艾格尼丝·史沫特莱（美国）——从战地记者到前线白衣战士，与八路军同吃一碗小米、共卧一片战壕，将中国抗战的脊梁托向世界。

Agnes Smedley(USA)—From a battlefield correspondent to a white-robed fighter at the frontlines,she shared a bowl of millet with the Eighth Route Army and lay in the same trenches,lifting the backbone of China’s War of Resistance to the world.

澳大利亚与爱尔兰友人——医生、护士和专业工作者在中国最艰难时期提供了关键技术支持与实地援助。

Friends from Australia and Ireland—doctors,nurses,and professionals—provided critical technical support and on-the-ground assistance during China's most difficult times.
