Now that the Autumn term has come to an end, we would like to take this opportunity to wish our school community a very happy and healthy holiday season!

THANK YOU to all of our brilliant parent volunteers for organising an amazing Santa’s Secret Shop this year – the children (even some staff!) had a wonderful time dashing from one stand to another seeking the perfect gift for their family and friends, near and far!

Our Nursery children have been embracing the holiday season by engaging their senses and exploring various textures to create different crafts and art projects.
From decorating their own ornaments, to designing their own cardboard gingerbread houses, these activities allow them to express their creativity and bring a personal touch to the holiday decorations.
It’s truly heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm and excitement as they incorporate the holiday spirit into their everyday learning experiences. This time truly brings out the artist in all of us!

The Year 1 children were very excited to see they all had a new classmate this week: a cheeky elf! In a letter which looked like it had come from the North Pole, the elf said he had been sent by Santa to make sure the children were being nice and kind in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Every day the elf has been causing some kind of mischief in the Year 1 classrooms but it’s safe to say the children have all shown very kind behaviour for the elf to report back to Santa and his team.
In our English lessons, we have been looking at getting into different characters. The children had the chance to ‘elf themselves’ and then think about what they would eat, look like and do as their job if they were an elf. Lots of children were excited by the thought of being able to be an elf that tests toys as they all love playing! It was great to see the children trying to impress the elf, not only with their behaviour, but also by writing some super sentences using ‘and’ and ‘because’ to make them more interesting and exciting.
All of the Year 1 children would like to say a huge thank you to their elves for visiting and they hope to see him again next year!

So much time and efforts have been put into the most anticipated show of the year here at BSB Sanlitun and it was truly wonderful to see that Year 5 finally made it possible to present their stunning ‘Christmas with the Aliens’ to their parents on Wednesday 13th December.

Everybody loves winter, right? There are so many learning activities can be completed around winter and snow. And having real snow outside the window only helps to feel the atmosphere.
KS1 children on the German Programme enjoyed learning the winter vocabulary and writing their cards and letters to Santa and the Snowman. They showed great learning about the structure of a letter.

One of the main tasks in Year 1 is the introduction of sounds and letters. Each new letter must be viewed and practised from different sides: visually, acoustically, motorically. That’s why we practise in different ways, e.g., a story from the Letterbox, a song, a game. At the end of the introduction to letters, the children are always encouraged to create an entry in their letter book.
In this entry, the children can show everything they have learnt: write the letter shape neatly on the lines, think about and write some words they already know with this letter, find the position of the sound in the word, solve a letter puzzle. Also reading is very important. We always practise every sound that we learned, in writing and in reading. We read different syllables and simple words and sentences. Now the children can already read and write short words and sentences. I am very proud of the children.

学校现有超过20条校车线,停靠超过60个校车点位。2岁以上的学生可以选择乘坐校车,费用依距离远近有所不同。
经评估需要参与英语培训项目(EAL)的学生,能够在语言专家的教导和鼓励下,迅速提高英语能力,成功融入日常英语授课环境,最终取得长足进步。
