学术进阶

At Harrow Beijing,students'academic development is divided into five phases:
学生在哈罗北京的学业发展共分为5个阶段：

Lower School
小学部

幼儿园Early Years
（2至5周岁2 to 5 years old）

The Early Years Foundation Stage(EYFS)at Harrow Beijing encourages pupils to be happy,independent and motivated leaders in their school environment.
Teachers plan for purposeful,play-based learning using the Harrow Early Years learning framework whilst also taking into consideration the individual needs of all of our learners.
A strong focus in the Early Years is on Social and Emotional development alongside key areas in Literacy and Mathematics including Phonics development.Daily classroom activities are supplemented with lessons in specialist subjects of Physical Education,Music,Drama and Mandarin.

哈罗北京在早期基础教育阶段（EYFS）鼓励孩子成为快乐、独立与积极的校园领导者。教师们致力于打造目标明确、寓教于乐的教育环境，同时根据学生个体需求因材施教。
幼儿园阶段教育的重点是社交和情感的发展，以及读写和数学核心能力的发展，包括自然拼读法的学习。日常教学活动中还包含了体育、音乐、戏剧以及中文课程的学习。

小学Pre-Prep Phase
（2至5年级Years 2 to 5）

In Years 2 to 5,children continue to develop essential literacy,numeracy,and Mandarin skills.Great emphasis is placed on the enjoyment of books and the teaching of reading and writing.
As they progress through the school,students are also introduced to a greater element of specialist subjects in Music,Physical Education,Drama,Computing and Science.

在二至五年级，我们继续开发孩子必要的英文、数学和中文能力。对阅读及写作的兴趣培养是这个阶段的重点内容。
随着年级的升高，学生还会在专业老师的指导下学习音乐、体育、戏剧、计算机和科学等课程。

Upper School
中学部

初中Prep Phase
（6至8年级Year 6 to 8）

Modelled on the best practice of British Preparatory Schools and International Middle Schools,the Prep Phase is a blend of specialist-based subject teaching within the security of the Upper School.At the core of the Prep Phase are the subjects of English,Mathematics,Science and Mandarin.The students are also exposed to a wide and varied curriculum including Art,China Studies,Drama,History,Geography,Computing,Design and Technology,Music,Spanish and PE.

源于英国中学和国际学校的最佳实践，初中阶段课程是在中学部课程的框架内开设的一系列专业课程。初中阶段的核心课程包括：英语、数学、科学和中文。学生还能研修广泛、多样的专业课程，包括：美术、中国研究、戏剧、历史、地理、计算机、设计与科技、音乐、西班牙语以及体育。

高中The Senior School
（9至11年级Year 9 to 11）

Our curriculum in Year 9 is designed to build on the learning and skills students have developed in the Prep Phase,and equip them for success in public examinations.Many of our courses take themes and skills from International General Certificate of Secondary Education(IGCSE)and introduce them early to students.This provides a strong bridge into Year 10 and ensures students are well prepared to follow the courses of their choice.In Year 10 and Year 11 students follow the GCSE and/or IGCSE courses.

九年级的课程是建立在初中阶段所教授的知识和技能的基础上，旨在帮助学生在统考中取得优异成绩。学校开设的众多课程围绕IGCSE考试的主题和所需技能，并提前教授这些内容，以帮助学生顺利地从九年级过渡到十年级，同时确保他们能为自己选择的专业课程做好准备。十年级和十一年级的学生将学习GCSE和/或IGCSE的课程。

毕业班The Sixth Form
（12至13年级Year 12 to 13）

After IGCSE,students move into the next phase of the School and prepare themselves for life at university.It is a two-year programme in linear A-Levels.

在IGCSE阶段之后，学生们将进入下一阶段的学习并为升入大学做准备。这是一个两年制的学习阶段，学生们将进行A-Level课程的学习。

Enrichment Activities
课余活动

We offer a variety of activities for students to develop a range of interests and skills.Some of the activities offered across the School include:cricket,cross-country running,rock climbing,scuba diving,tennis,touch rugby,golf,yoga,dance,steel pans,jazz band,orchestra,choirs,DJ club,ukulele club,musical theatre club,drama club,psychology club,environmental club,chess,cooking,debating,student magazines,community outreach,Chinese art and painting,and martial arts as well as the chance for students to train and practise for school teams,musical ensembles and drama productions.Regular Critical Lunches are held across the School,where we encourage students to partake in a discussion with a visiting expert,such as a novelist,diplomat or human rights specialist.

在课余时间，我们为学生提供丰富多彩的活动，旨在帮助学生开发一系列兴趣和技能。这些活动包括：板球、越野跑、攀岩、潜水、网球、触式橄榄球、高尔夫、瑜伽、舞蹈、钢鼓、爵士乐队、管弦乐团、合唱团、DJ俱乐部、尤克里里俱乐部、音乐剧俱乐部、戏剧俱乐部、心理学俱乐部、环保俱乐部、国际象棋、烹饪、辩论、学生杂志、慈善活动、中国传统艺术，武术等。我们还定期带学生在国内外参加校际活动、体育比赛，以及文化和艺术探索之旅。另外，学校定期邀请科学家、作家、外交官等各领域专业人士来访，与学生们就专业课题，或职业选择展开直接对话。
