作为前宁波协和外籍人员子女学校校长,同时在上海协和国际学校的重要管理职位有过丰富经验,我有信心自己的热情、驱动力以及让团队为了共同目标而齐心协力的能力,能够给学校和学生们带来价值。

 

我提倡高质量的教育标准,闲暇时我自学新的教学法或参加专业发展研讨会。对学生的成功承诺和强烈的使命感推动着我不断精进。过去的两年来,我带领团队成功将学生的IGCSE科学通过率提高了30%,获得化学A和A*等级的学生数增加了55%,获得物理A和A*等级的学生数增加了48%,获得生物A和A*等级的学生数增加了63%。

我在南非接受小学教师培训,并在英国从教长达22年,持有TEFL第五级证书。除了熟悉和了解英国课程体系,我在教授英语作为第二语言方面拥有丰富的想法、技能和教学经验。我擅长设计和组织课堂外的学习活动,例如教育访问、露营和参观等。

我拥有约克大学的教育研究生学位,并获得了英国诺丁汉大学的英国教师资格证书(国际教育方向)。自2007年起,我开始了作为图书馆教师的职业生涯,先后在北京英国国际学校、北京德威英国国际学校、新加坡诺德安达国际学校以及某IB国际学校苏州分校任教。

Based on the rich global resources and standardized management of the Nord Anglia Education Group, NAS Beijing Fangshan integrates Chinese culture and national characteristics into international education. The school has a highly international senior Chinese and foreign teaching team, with an average teaching experience of over 10 years. Over 50% of teachers hold master's degrees from prestigious domestic and international universities, with 100% majoring in education or related fields. About Me

Having served as the former Principal of United International School in Ningbo and held important management positions at Shanghai United International School, I bring a wealth of experience and confidence in my ability to bring value to the school and its students through my passion, drive, and ability to unite teams towards common goals. I advocate for high-quality education standards and continuously strive for professional development by self-studying new teaching methods or attending professional development workshops. My commitment to student success and a strong sense of mission drive me to constantly improve. Over the past two years, I have led a team that successfully increased students' pass rate in IGCSE Science by 30% and witnessed a 55% increase in students achieving A and A* grades in Chemistry, a 48% increase in students achieving A and A* grades in Physics, and a 63% increase in students achieving A and A* grades in Biology.

As an educator, I am dedicated to helping students become well-rounded, successful, and happy individuals prepared for future challenges. I place great emphasis on fostering students' social and emotional skills, such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and interpersonal skills. I aim to impart the skills and knowledge necessary for student success, whether it be teaching five-year-olds to read alphabets or teaching high school students about photosynthesis, all in preparation for their future.

Zakery Dodd, Secondary English Teacher

I come from London, United Kingdom, with a passion for English literature, particularly 20th-century novels and plays. This passion drove me to obtain a First Class Honours Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Greenwich and an Honours Master's degree from Northumbria University. Throughout my experience teaching IB and Cambridge curricula, I have continuously strived to help students develop an interest in English reading.

I often tell my students, "If you don't like reading, it's just because you haven't found the right book yet." I aim to transmit my enthusiasm for literature to the students at Nord Anglia School, inspiring them to discover engaging and captivating content that ignites their curiosity. My ultimate goal is to fuel students' passion for the curriculum, enhance their English proficiency, and cultivate them into successful lifelong learners.

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to attend an educational professional seminar organized by the Nord Anglia Education Group in Ho Chi Minh City. As someone who has worked in the international education industry for many years, I had already heard of Nord Anglia Schools' academic excellence, but this event provided me with a deeper understanding. I witnessed how Nord Anglia nurtures students' curiosity through an immersive learning environment, where everything from facilities to philosophies complement each other. This experience made me eager to become a part of this educational group and embark on a journey of exploring English literature with the students!

 

 

Lizzy Mokone, Primary Teacher

I received my primary school teacher training in South Africa and have been teaching in the UK for 22 years. I hold a TEFL Level 5 certificate and have a wealth of ideas, skills, and teaching experience in teaching English as a second language. I excel in designing and organizing out-of-classroom learning activities, such as educational visits, camping trips, and field trips.

Being involved in education has always been my passion. My goal is to create an inclusive, inspiring, and imaginative classroom atmosphere that ultimately helps students achieve success. I firmly believe that if students love learning and feel safe and excited in the classroom, they will achieve greater accomplishments and enhance their self-esteem.

 

Additionally, I am dedicated to helping students discover their potential outside the classroom. During my time in the UK, I frequently organized camping and residential trips for students to support and motivate their extracurricular learning. I also led students on visits to places such as science museums, history museums, and art galleries to make their learning experiences creative and fascinating.

Judy Qiu, Librarian

I hold a postgraduate degree in Education from the University of York and have obtained the UK Teacher Qualification Certificate (International Education) from the University of Nottingham. Since 2007, I have embarked on a career as a librarian, working at Beijing British International School, Dulwich College Beijing, Nord Anglia International School in Singapore, and an IB International School in Suzhou.

I have extensive teaching experience in international and bilingual school libraries, working with students from different age groups including kindergarten, primary, middle, and high school. I have guided students through various curriculum systems, including the UK National Curriculum, IPC Curriculum, IB-MYP Programme, and IBDP Programme. I love every curriculum system and enjoy the time spent teaching with students from each age group. Cultivating students' reading, information literacy, and research skills is my expertise. Throughout my 16-year career, I am delighted to have influenced many students to become lifelong learners and avid readers.

The study of mathematics is progressive, and the high school stage is a critical period for students to understand foundational concepts and skills in math. I prioritize helping students establish a solid math foundation by encouraging their participation in class discussions, problem-solving, and questioning, which stimulate their interest in learning and enhance their thinking abilities. Additionally, I am committed to connecting mathematics with real-world applications, enabling students to recognize that math goes beyond memorizing formulas and methods, and instead cultivates problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
